Another strong draw produced hours of exciting squash at this year’s March Madness.  Players from all over Ontario competed for the $1500 cash prize, along with strong representation from our membership. Will Mariani and Dane Sharp reached this years final for the third year in a row.  On the other side of the draw, UWO’s Ryan Herden and Rafik Bhaloo surprised some very strong teams to reach their first final.  Will and Dane once again defended their title  with a tightly contested 3-0 match.   Chris Boden and Mike Blythe won the consolation draw, over Ron Henry and Martin Langdale.  Thanks to our sponsors Firerock Golf Course, The Coates of Arms, Oakridge Animal Clinic, Steamwhistle and Fanshawe Motors.

It was a great event where everyone got into the theme of the evening, enjoying the bouquet toss, the limbo and posing for their portraits, I was even able to get a photo of an obliging couple cutting the cheese! The costumes were fantastic and it was a huge success. Congratulations to the organizing committee for a great event , I am looking forward to the Fringe Theatre Festival in June 2010.

I was asked to take some photos of London and jumped at the opportunity to go on a photo safari.  Even better  I had family visiting from the UK London and was able to take them on a tour of the city and show them the highlights and a little of the history.

We toured Black Friars Bridge, Eldon House, Labatt Park, Harris Park,  the Art Gallery, the John Labatt Centre and the Market.  It was great to be reminded of the history  London has and revisit the sites I drive past every day and take the time to admire their beauty and structure.  My guests enjoyed their time and got to experience My London my way!
